SAN FRANCISCO PSYCHOLOGIST AND NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST
Neuropsychological Evaluation Services:
Perhaps you, your family or your physician are concerned about your medical condition and how it may be impacting your thinking skills and your ability to complete important tasks in your day-to-day life. Participating in a neurocognitive or neuropsychological evaluation is an evidence-based way of understanding your functioning in a way that can be helpful to your entire medical team. Neuropsychological evaluations can help you seek more appropriate treatment for your symptoms and help you, your family and medical team plan for future treatment, while simultaneously maximizing your ability to live and function independently.
Psychotherapy Services:
Change is difficult, but it can also be exciting. Whether you are considering dealing with problems you have lived with for years, or facing a crisis in your life as a result of an unexpected event, you have it within you to face this challenge and emerge stronger for it. I stress the importance of a caring, give-and-take relationship with my clients. My approach depends on each person's particular needs and goals. For those dealing with broad concerns such as life transitions, existential or identity issues, or interpersonal relationships, my approach tends to be exploratory and insight-oriented. For those seeking resolution of a specific problem or set of symptoms (such as OCD, depression, or stress), I take a fairly structured, goal- and skills-oriented approach to treatment. My style is always active, candid, and collaborative.
I have advanced training in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders (including obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety and worry).
